Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use SwapDoc at swapdoc.co.uk. By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SwapDoc.
The service
SwapDoc lets you convert documents between Microsoft Word and PDF formats free of charge. We may change, pause or stop the service, or any part of it, at any time, for example for maintenance.
Fair use
To keep SwapDoc fast and free for everyone, files are limited to 25 MB and there's a limit on how many conversions one person can do in a short period. You must not:
- try to get around these limits, or use automated tools to send large numbers of files;
- upload anything that contains viruses or other harmful code, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service;
- use the service for anything unlawful, including converting material you don't have the right to copy or change.
Your files
You keep all rights in the documents you upload. You give us permission only to process them to perform the conversion you asked for. Files are deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for making sure you're allowed to upload and convert each file.
Conversion results
We work hard to keep conversions accurate, but documents vary a great deal, and the layout of a converted file may differ from the original. Please check every converted file before you rely on it, and always keep your original. The service is provided "as is", without any guarantee that it will be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
Our responsibility to you
As SwapDoc is free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost profits, or loss caused by an inaccurate conversion. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Advertising and links
SwapDoc shows adverts from Google and links to other websites. We aren't responsible for the content of ads or other websites, or for any dealings you have with advertisers.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from its "last updated" date. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
